Holly was born and raised in Sheridan, Wyoming. Her formative years were spent at the family’s veterinary hospital, fostering an affection for the husbandry of animals and the agricultural way of life. As adolescence and young adulthood ensued, she observed and participated in the operation of her mother’s business, where her love for Sheridan’s downtown began and continues to this day.
Holly attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, where she graduated with honors in 1994. In 1995, she obtained her designation as a Certified Public Accountant and worked for a regional accounting firm in West Yellowstone, Montana until returning to Sheridan in 1998. After a brief hiatus, she returned to public accounting in 2001 when she accepted a position with Steven Rucki, CPA. She has worked with Steve since that time.
With her extensive accounting experience, Holly brings many desirable attributes to the world of real estate – choice of entity, attention to detail, knowledge of tax law, the fiduciary duties of care and confidentiality, and the ability to meet deadlines.
She has a passion for real estate and has participated in a number of transactions. She has purchased or sold primary residences, commercial buildings and lots, multi-family housing units, agricultural properties, and vacation homes. She has taken advantage of Like Kind Exchanges and has accounted for many 1031 Exchanges on behalf of her tax clients.
Holly has been married since 1995 to her husband, Greg, also a Sheridan native. Together, they have three daughters and three grandchildren – all residing in Sheridan. Since their marriage, they have built four homes, giving Holly familiarity with building codes, working with contractors, and structuring construction loans. She has an eye for design and delights in seeing the potential of homes and commercial properties in need of a facelift.
Holly’s primary objective in real estate is the care and guidance of her clients. She has served as a tax consultant for nearly 30 years and will bring the capacity to serve with discretion to her career as a realtor. She also loves the community of Sheridan and wishes to see its western heritage preserved while welcoming all to enjoy the unique lifestyle it offers.
